Some black and white photos from a recent wedding in Mount Pleasant. Had a really good time and I wish John and Laura the best. Everyone involved was fantastic, it was probably the most laid back and relaxed wedding I have photographed. Some color photos from the day are in the next post.

Future Maines

Marine Corps "poolees" take part in combat conditioning exercises, Saturday May 14, 2011 in a field next to Westland Mall in West Burlington. The exercises which promote physical fitness as well as leadership and teamwork are designed to prepare the "poolees" for recruit training or boot camp. Attendees from both the Burlington and Ottumwa Marine Corps Recruiting offices were taking part.

National Guard Training

A training exercise for soldiers from Iowa National Guards 224th Engineer Battalion, Friday May 13, 2011 at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, Iowa. More than 50 men and women with the Iowa National Guard 224th Engineer Battalion took part in the two-day training exercise that concluded Friday afternoon.
